The Odin Choir was founded in the late 1940s, and is a mixed choir encompassing some 25 singers in ages of 30 up to 60. We sing everything from jazz to pop, including rock, blues, folk songs and ballads. That is, we sing what we feel like singing, depending on time of year and whereabouts we are.

We try to keep a broad repertoire, in order give concerts at various events, be it hospitals, club meetings, exhibitions, or on the streets of downtown Gothenburg

Every now and then we do some traveling. For example, during the past few years we’ve rounded up the Spring with a weekend at Käringön, a small picturesque island outside the West Coast of Sweden, where we use to give concerts at some of the local restaurants. This is definitely one of the highlights of the year, sitting on the rocks singing, simply having fun!

We also take classes to improve our skills and pick up some new influences of music.

Once a year we give a big public concert. The last time, Dec 11 -01, we gave a Christmas concert in the Christinae Church in Gothenburg in favour of  ”SOS Children Villages”.
